Aunt Winifred

Aunt Winifred is a little old badger lady with a heart of gold and the owner of the Bounce Wood. Warm, caring, and always pleased to welcome visitors, she is a much-loved figure in this unusual part of the forest.

Although her eyesight is very poor, Aunt Winifred never lets that dampen her cheerful spirit. She is gentle, hospitable, and always ready to make guests feel comfortable, whether that means offering a cup of tea, a friendly chat, or simply a warm welcome.

As the owner of the Bounce Wood, Aunt Winifred looks after one of the forest’s most extraordinary places: a naturally springy woodland where the moss is so bouncy it turns the whole area into a giant soft play adventure.

Aunt Winifred is a black and white little old lady badger with huge glasses.

Aunt Winifred is kind, caring, and welcoming, with a heart of gold. She is gentle and friendly, and although her eyesight is poor, she remains cheerful and full of warmth.
